Our First Project
From Backyard Tinkering to Eco-Friendly Powerhouse:
Our backyard wasn't just a place for lawn chairs and barbecues. It was a laboratory of innovation, where we built our very own hydroelectric prototype! Fuelled by raindrops and ingenuity, this mini-marvel was a stepping stone towards a grander vision: harnessing the power of flowing water worldwide, from the River Dee to rivers and waterways across the globe, to create a cleaner future for all.
A twist in the tale: Despite meticulous planning and late-night welding sessions, our DIY turbine wouldn't quite spin its way to success. Limited resources and backyard constraints meant the propeller lacked the rotations needed to take flight. But instead of throwing in the towel, we saw this as a chance to reimagine the whole thing!
Drawing inspiration from proven designs, we are crafting a new generation of turbines that are not only hyper-efficient, but also fish-friendly! This isn't just about generating power; it's about a harmonious partnership with the ecosystem. Our prototype, though silent, was a vibrant teacher, whispering secrets of hydropower and renewable energy. Disappointment fuelled our resolve, and now we're excited to continue developing this technology on a larger scale.
Join us on this journey! Learn more about our project, the challenges we faced, and our vision for a future powered by clean, river-friendly energy. Together, we can turn ripples into revolutions!

Our gallery walks you through the evolution of our first prototype, from its humble beginnings to its final form. See how we ingeniously utilised rainwater for our water delivery system and crafted a custom tool to achieve the perfect propeller angle, a testament to both precise crafting and secure engineering.
